Hello, what's up? Aside from the list up there, I'm a chill person who loves to hang out with people and experience the world around her. I love traveling, writing, reading, nightlife, gaming (league and overwatch) and other things. I'm an English Teacher in Incheon (x), South Korea and if you want to ask specifics about my school message the gmail.

 Why did I become a teacher? I've always been interested in Korean since there were so many Koreans in my neighborhood growing up. I got a minor in Korean Studies, studied abroad at Ewha, and can speak Korean conversationally. Specifically why a teacher though? Because it was the most help I could do for people while I work on my future goals.

 Future dreams: Don't ask me, I get enough of this already. Dream goal would be working for the UN, but dreams?? in this economy???

 What I blog about: I mostly focus on the culture aspect of Korea, so things you should be able to expect if you decide to visit as a tourist, student, or if you also decide to be a teacher. I'm into fashion, but I don't think I'll talk much about it. You can look forward to a lot of information on nightlife of Seoul, traveling around South Korea as well as throughout Asia, and recommendations of places to visit.

  • - manhattan 🗽 → fuzhou → brooklyn 🏠 →  seoul ✈
  • - milk tea lover 🍵  + lattes + playlists (i've been listening to this one for a while now)
  • - too much stationary, not enough room; collects stickers, cute pens 🖋, notebooks 📚, and sticky notes
  • - fake aesthetics (check out that tumblr) 
  • - animals are my secret joys in life 🐾
  • - splashed in blood way too often in this life

  • - got pulled into esports fandom + did undergrad thesis on it
  • - did grad thesis on anti-blackness in asian american hip hop 🎧
  • - enjoy trying to write fiction and poetry, am not very good at doing either
  • - most influential poets of my youth: warsan shire and richard siken

passionate about:
  • - environment/sustainability stuff (talk dirty 2 me about sustainable cities vs. neoliberal capitalism, tyvm) 
  • - architecture + cityscapes + urban spaces + dérives
  • - art... of all kinds... traditional, photography, digital, sculpture, landscaping, etc.

  • - misaeng is my favorite k-drama + the only one that i actually was interested enough to really try to finish 
  • - bts is currently my favorite k-pop group 
  • - wheesung's insomnia mv was the first thing that actually really got me into k-pop, though i hung around the edges of it since 2007 
  • - a friend/decade-long childhood crush introduced me to big bang's haru haru mv + big bang was my first k-pop fandom
  • - nell is my favorite k-indie band (x)
  • - i listen to younha's run quite often when i'm sad
  • - i am terrible at the korean language, pls tutor me )': 

future goals:
